The agency started its activities in the field of copyright and translation in 2018 under the brand name Akdem. In a short time, it has made a name for itself by creating a large network. In five years, we’ve sold the copyrights of nearly 2,500 books and overseen these works being published in various languages. In order to provide publishers with the fastest and highest quality translations, the agency has also built up an extensive network of translators and has translated around 1,000 books.
As part of this process, our team participated in more than 50 international events, representing 46 publishers from Türkiye and 91 publishers from around the world in Türkiye and certain parts of the world. We also participated in the coordination of many international fairs and events, including the Istanbul Publishing Fellowship. During this period, we made contact with more than 5,000 publishers.
Starting from February 2023, the agency has started a process of development and transformation in order to achieve a stronger position in the international arena and to provide a higher quality service to the publishing industry. Our agency continues to operate under the name of Introtema Copyright and Translation Agency and has expanded its team with the aim of becoming a global player in the field of copyright and translation.
Introtema Copyright and Translation Agency aims to become a global brand based in İstanbul, Türkiye. Introtema is a brand that is both a representative of Turkish publishers and authors in the world and a representative of publishers and authors from many countries. Our aim is to increase the visibility and globalisation of small, medium and large publishers from Türkiye and many countries we represent, as well as to bring a new perspective to the agency culture through B2B meetings, networking activities and fair organisation.
