Connecting Worlds at the 10th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship

In February 2025, İntrotema Literary Agency was delighted to take part in the 10th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship, held once again in the inspiring setting of the Rami Library. Organized by the Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright and License Society (TBYM) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the programme welcomed 480 publishers from 75 countries, who held more than 7,300 bilateral meetings and signed over 4,500 preliminary copyright agreements.

This year’s Focus Country was China, celebrating cultural exchange and strengthening publishing ties between China and the wider fellowship community. Over three days, participants took part in seminars, fellowship meetings and networking events, exploring topics such as publishing in China and the role of artificial intelligence in the industry.

A highlight of the week was the İstanbul Copyright Awards Gala, held in the breathtaking Sultan Cistern, honouring the publishing houses that help bring literature to international readers. The newly launched Media Match platform also stood out as a first-of-its-kind initiative, connecting publishers with digital media, animation and audiobook platforms to explore cross-sector collaborations.

We were proud to once again support this dynamic event and to take part in building bridges between cultures, publishers and stories from around the world.
