In May 2025, İntrotema participated in the Zagreb Publishing Fellowship, a distinguished programme supported by the European Commission under the projects Creating Worlds and Books on the Beach. This initiative brought together publishers and literary professionals from across Europe, focusing on children’s and young adult (YA) literature. Held in the vibrant city of Zagreb, Croatia, the fellowship provided a unique platform for fostering international collaborations and exploring the evolving landscape of children’s and YA publishing.

Over the course of three days, participants engaged in curated meetings, workshops, and discussions aimed at enhancing the exchange of ideas and best practices within the industry. The programme facilitated meaningful dialogues on translation rights, cross-cultural storytelling, and digital media integration in children’s literature. These interactions enriched our understanding of current trends in European publishing and opened avenues for potential partnerships and co-publishing opportunities.

For İntrotema, the fellowship was an invaluable experience that underscored the importance of cultural exchange and collaboration in the global publishing community. It reinforced our commitment to promoting diverse voices and narratives in children’s and YA literature, bridging cultures through the universal language of storytelling.

We extend our gratitude to the organisers of the Zagreb Publishing Fellowship for curating such a dynamic and enriching programme. As we continue to nurture our international relationships and explore new avenues for collaboration, we look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in the ever-evolving world of children’s and YA publishing.
