No Phones, No Nothin'!
Şermin YaşarBerk is a boy who refuses to put his phone down for even a single second. Everyone—his mother, his father, his grandparents, his aunts, and his uncles—constantly demands the exact same thing: "Put that phone down already!" They repeated the phrase, "I hope that phone gets glued to your hand!" so many times that eventually, the unthinkable actually happened. Right in the middle of Great-Grandpa's 98th birthday party, the smartphones literally got stuck to the hands of Berk and his cousins!
Suddenly, Berk really can't drop his phone. But the poor kid can't comb his hair, he can't eat his food properly, and his dreams of becoming a star goalkeeper are completely ruined. Screwdrivers, lubricating oils, and frantic trips to the hospital are of absolutely no use. As Berk and his cousins desperately try to escape this bizarre situation, they are forced to question their habits, their responsibilities, and their deep bond with technology, leading them all to wonder: Are the phones in our hands, or are we in the hands of our phones?
Masterfully blending humor, absurdity, and sincerity, Şermin Yaşar delivers a hilarious and thought-provoking story about screen addiction, family communication, and self-awareness, told with an observant eye that perfectly understands the children of our digital age.
