İntrotema Hosts the First International Culture Meetings in İstanbul

On 11 October 2025, İntrotema Literary Agency hosted the first International Culture Meetings in İstanbul at the Albayrak Media Center.

The event welcomed participants from 15 countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, India, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Sudan. Among them were international students pursuing undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies in Türkiye, creating a vibrant platform for cultural dialogue and exchange.

During the full-day workshop, participants presented insights into their national publishing markets, shared information about leading authors and literary trends, and discussed how Turkish literature is received in their home countries. The conversations also explored translation collaborations, copyright exchange and future joint cultural initiatives, along with ideas for film, series and documentary production that could lead to new creative partnerships.

The programme served as a prelude to the International Translation Summit (ITS), an İntrotema initiative dedicated to fostering collaboration and dialogue in the field of translation.
