Expanding Horizons: İntrotema at the Turkic World Publishing Congress 2026

Following an exclusive official invitation, İntrotema Literary Agency proudly took its place at the Turkic World Publishing Congress! Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, this landmark event held from March 27 to 29, 2026, was a massive step forward for international rights cooperation across the Turkic world.

Bringing together 140 passionate publishers from 10 different countries, the congress provided an incredible platform for strengthening the dynamic Turkic publishing ecosystem.

Our agency was honored to be represented by Co-Founder Dr. Muhammed Ağırakça, Agency Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akif Pamuk, and Azerbaijan Representative Khayala Mammadli. We didn't just attend; we came ready to make an impact! After a month of intensive internal prep and the submission of a comprehensive preliminary report to the secretariat, our team dove into a series of highly productive, result-oriented meetings, bringing structured and strategic insights to the commission tables.

The energy in the room was palpable as we discussed game-changing initiatives, including the establishment of a Turkic World Translation Fund, joint book and rights fairs, and the highly anticipated Union of Turkic World Publishers. With inspiring data revealing that the TEDA Program has supported the translation of 368 titles across 81 countries over the last 20 years, Türkiye’s phenomenal institutional capacity in international publishing was on full display.

We are thrilled to be part of this incredible momentum! Over the past 8 years, İntrotema has proudly licensed the rights of 1,119 Turkish titles to 97 publishing houses across 5 Turkic countries, while also taking over 50 brilliant Turkic titles to the global stage. These aren't just numbers; they are proof that the Turkic world is rapidly evolving from a shared cultural space into a strategic powerhouse within the global publishing industry.

The Turkic World Publishing Congress marks a thrilling milestone for the development of long-term partnerships and collaborative projects. As İntrotema Literary Agency, we will continue to actively champion international rights exchanges and cross-cultural publishing initiatives throughout the region!
