In February 2025, we were delighted to take part in the 10th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship, held once again in the inspiring atmosphere of the Rami Library. Organized by the Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright and License Society (TBYM) with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the program welcomed 480 publishers from 75 countries, who held more than 7,300 bilateral meetings and signed over 4,500 preliminary copyright agreements.
This year’s Focus Country was China, celebrating cultural exchange and strengthening publishing ties between Turkish and Chinese publishers. Over three days, participants engaged in seminars, fellowship meetings, and networking events, exploring themes such as publishing in China and the role of artificial intelligence in the industry.
A highlight of the event was the Istanbul Copyright Awards Gala, held in the breathtaking Sultan Cistern, honoring publishing houses that helped Turkish works reach international readers. The newly launched Media Match platform also stood out as a first-of-its-kind initiative, connecting publishers with digital media, animation, and audiobook platforms to explore cross-sector collaborations.
We at İntrotema were proud to once again support this dynamic event and take part in building bridges between cultures, publishers, and stories from around the world.
