The 77th Frankfurt Book Fair (October 15–19, 2025) once again became the heart of global publishing, bringing together over 238,000 visitors and 4,350 publishers from 131 countries.

As İntrotema Copyrights & Translation Agency, we proudly took our place at the fair and concluded an intense, inspiring five days filled with meetings, events, and new collaborations.

This year, we organized special matchmaking programs with publishers from China, the Philippines, Italy, and Korea, and held more than 200 one-on-one meetings with publishing houses, agencies, and rights representatives from around the world. It was a week of new beginnings, strengthened partnerships, and meaningful connections.

One of the highlights of the fair was receiving a special recognition plaque from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, presented as part of the 20th anniversary of the TEDA Translation and Publication Grant Program. This honor was a proud moment for us, marking the recognition of our long-standing efforts to promote Turkish literature internationally.

Another highlight was bringing together our teams from İstanbul, China, Azerbaijan, and Germany. It was not only a professional gathering but also a cultural one — a chance to celebrate our shared mission of building bridges between languages, stories, and worlds.

Frankfurt once again proved to be both inspiring and rewarding. We return home with new friendships, new projects, and renewed motivation for the year ahead.

A Note

“Eight Years, One Dream” – Dr. Muhammed Ağırakça

This year marked our eighth Frankfurt Book Fair. I still remember our very first one: one person, a few books in a suitcase, and a heart full of dreams. We had no stand, no visibility, just hope. Yet in those moments of getting lost, we were actually finding ourselves.

Over the years, we grew; one person became two, then three. Each fair brought more meetings, more courage, and more lessons. In the last three years, we finally took our place among the stands, not just as guests but as hosts of our own story.

Today, İntrotema represents publishers and authors from over 40 countries, covering everything from academic works to children’s books and fiction. Our heart remains in Türkiye, but our voice now reaches the world.

At Frankfurt 2025, we came as a 15-person team from five countries — Türkiye, China, Germany, Azerbaijan, and Algeria. We designed twelve matchmaking programs, organized events in six national stands, and held more than 200 meetings. The most remarkable change was seeing some of the global publishers who once had no time for us now requesting meetings with İntrotema.

We were honored to receive the TEDA 20th Anniversary Award, a symbol of how far we have come. From the Arab world to Latin America, from the Balkans to East Asia, our mission remains the same: to carry stories across borders, to revive forgotten voices, and to give life to the literature of regions too often overlooked.

We may still be at the beginning of our journey, but our path is clear — guided by perseverance, faith, and purpose.

See you again, Frankfurt. Until next year.
