Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu

Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu (b. 1947) is a prominent Turkish psychiatrist, author, and television presenter whose work has profoundly impacted contemporary pop culture. After graduating from Ankara University Medical School and specializing in psychiatry at Hacettepe University, she gained early fame as "Miss TRT" during a highly successful stint as a national television announcer before fully dedicating herself to psychiatric practice and literature.

In 2005, she founded the Madalyon Psychiatric Center, Turkey's first private psychiatric clinic. Pioneering a unique genre of psychotherapeutic novels based on real-life clinical cases, she offers profound psychological insights that have inspired record-breaking television series such as The Innocents, The Red Room, Chrysalis, and Evermore.
