Sentences In and Out of Place
Nazan Bekiroğlu"My intention was to gather all those sentences left scattered here and there, unpublished, and in a way, get rid of them."
Marking the 20th anniversary of her writing career since Tales of Nun, Nazan Bekiroğlu compiles a unique collection in Sentences In and Out of Place. Initially planned to house only "out of place" (unpublished) scraps, the project evolved as she revisited her published works, leading to a mix where "in place" and "out of place" sentences blended together.
In this rearrangement, thousands of sentences were sorted by theme rather than chronology. Stripped of their original context, sentences about nature suddenly fit into themes of love, and those belonging to writing found a home in humanity. This compilation reveals a hidden text within the text—a new narrative formed from the fragments of two decades.
