Archil Kikodze
Archil Kikodze (b. 1972, Tbilisi) is a multifaceted Georgian writer, photographer, ethnographer, and wildlife guide. Entering the literary scene at twenty-one, he has authored several acclaimed collections, including the 2014 Saba Prize-winning The Story of a Bird and a Man. His debut novel, The Southern Elephant, stands as a defining work of contemporary Georgian literature. He also studied film and famously starred in the award-winning movie Blind Dates (2013).
Deeply rooted in the Caucasus, Kikodze’s creative and environmental work celebrates Georgia’s rich landscapes and traditions. His award-winning photography is exhibited globally, while his environmental journalism frequently appears in leading national magazines. Combining his expertise in nature and writing, he has authored numerous science tourism guidebooks and official Ministry of Environment publications covering Georgia's vast national parks and reserves.
