Ibrahim Nasrallah
Ibrahim Nasrallah is a Palestinian poet, novelist, and artist whose work blends personal history with the struggles of his people. Born to parents displaced from Al-Burayj in 1948, he grew up in a Jordanian refugee camp and later worked in education and media before dedicating himself fully to writing in 2006. He has published 15 poetry collections, 22 novels, and several other works, including the Palestinian Comedy series covering 250 years of modern Palestinian history, translated into multiple languages.
Nasrallah is also a painter and photographer, with four solo exhibitions. His work often combines art and activism, as in The Spirits of Kilimanjaro (2015), inspired by a climb with two disabled Palestinian youths. His novels and poetry remain widely read, influencing Arabic literature through evocative storytelling, cultural memory, and a commitment to reflecting Palestinian life.
